PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — A woman is dead after a single-vehicle crash Friday afternoon in Putnam County.
The crash happened at around 4:30 p.m. on Denver Road, near Old U.S. Highway 17, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A sedan driven by a 35-year-old woman was traveling east on Denver Road when it veered to the left and went off the road, the FHP said. Afterward, the sedan hit a tree, coming to a stop against the tree.
The 35-year-old woman died from her injuries. A child in the vehicle with her received only minor injuries.
