Emergency personnel in Clay County responded to an oxygen tank malfunction that resulted in injuries to possibly two people at the Thrasher-Horne Center.

The incident occurred sometime Saturday in the 200 block of College Drive in Orange Park.

Clay County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Chris Padgett confirmed that an oxygen tank malfunctioned at an event taking place at the Thrasher-Horne Center. That malfunction may have caused burns on an adult female and an unknown juvenile. The extent of their injuries is currently unavailable.

The State Fire Marshal is investigating this incident further.
